Full job description

Barberstown Castle 4 Star hotel are looking for an experienced Sous Chef to join their established team.

This is a full time salaried position, 40 hours per week and requires a minimum of 5 years experience as a Sous Chef in a similar environment.

If you have a passion for culinary excellence and customer service and would like to work in a newly renovated kitchen with high end appliances, we would like to hear from you.

Key Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Supporting the Executive Head Chef in the daily operation of the kitchen
  • Maintaining the highest standards of food quality, presentation and consistency
  • Assisting with menu development and seasonal menu planning
  • Ensuring HACCP and food safety standards are strictly adhered to
  • Supervising and mentoring junior kitchen staff
  • Assisting with the control of stock, ordering and minimising waste
  • Ensuring smooth kitchen operations during service
  • Contributing to a positive and professional kitchen culture
  • Any other duties as may be assigned.

The Must Requirements to Be Considered

  • Must have a minimum of 5 years experience as a Sous Chef in a similar environment.
  • Must be living in Ireland and have the right to work in the Republic of Ireland
