Full job description

Teachín is a new, family-owned café opening soon in Kinnegad, built around locally sourced produce, an innovative menu, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. We're looking for a passionate and reliable Cook/Chef to join our kitchen team and help us deliver exceptional food and memorable dining experiences from day one.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and cook high-quality dishes from scratch, following standardised recipes and maintaining consistency in taste, presentation, and portion sizes.

Ensure all food is prepared efficiently .

Maintain high standards of food quality, freshness, cleanliness, and presentation throughout service.

Follow all food safety, hygiene, and HACCP procedures at every stage of food preparation and service.

Monitor stock levels, rotate ingredients correctly, and minimise food waste.

Keep the kitchen clean, organised, and well maintained, including equipment and workstations.

Assist with receiving and storing deliveries in line with food safety procedures.

Follow all company policies, health and safety regulations, and kitchen procedures.

What We're Looking For:

Previous experience working as a Cook in a busy café, restaurant, or similar food service environment.

Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen operations.

Good understanding of food safety, hygiene, and HACCP practices.

Excellent organisational and time-management skills with the ability to work under pressure.

A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and the ability to work well as part of a team.

Flexibility to work early mornings, weekends, and public holidays as required.

Authorised to work in Ireland.
