Ward Clerk – Clinical Administration

Contract: Specific Purpose Contract

Hours: 12 hours per week

location : Blanchardstown /Raheny

salary scale : 36,470 - 56,018

St. Francis Hospice Dublin provides a comprehensive range of palliative care services for patients and their families living in North Dublin City and County.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic and innovative team. The successful candidate will be working 12 hours per week as a ward clerk in the IPU – In patient unit Blanchardstown, they will also be available and flexible to provide cover within the Clinical Administration team across Blanchardstown and Raheny over a 7 day roster and this will include weekend cover.

The person must…

Essential Requirements:

  • Be educated to Leaving Certificate standard or equivalent.
  • Be fully competent in MS Office suite and other relevant packages.
  • Have two years’ experience in a Clerical/Receptionist/Administration role in a healthcare setting.
  • Have experience in Information Systems.
  • Be flexible and available to work across both sites over a 7 day roster.

Desirable Criteria:

  • Ideally have undertaken a secretarial/ computer course.
  • Medical terminology experience an advantage.
  • Experience in the Healthcare sector.
  • Ethnic Equality Monitoring Training.
