Full job description

We are looking for a full time Junior Civil engineer for project in Dublin and surrounding areas for immediate start.


Description of duties

  • Ensure good quality in setting out projects leading to developing this skill in setting out more complex structures with excellent dimensional control.
  • Technical responsibility relating to projects on site including (but not limited to) reading and interpretation of all construction drawings.
  • Maintain efficient record keeping for Environmental, Health and Safety and Quality Control.
  • You must work and engage in all activities in a Health & Safety conscience manner
  • Ability to effectively communicate with Senior Engineer, colleagues and build effective working relationships while taking ownership and responsibility for designated projects.
  • Good IT skills in Microsoft Office and AutoCAD
  • Work to strict deadlines, with excellent problem solving skills, if issues or difficulties occur within design and/or production process.
  • Self-motivated and meticulous, you must also have the ability to prioritise your workload effectively.
  • Possess excellent and proven organisations, planning and time management skills, a flexible approach and the ability to work on your own initiative.

What you need to have

  • Degree in Civil Engineering
  • 1-2 years Irish contracting experience
  • Experience with Irish Civil Engineering projects essential
  • Strong experience in Autocad or 3D Civil programmes
  • The ability to work to tight deadlines
  • Strong commercial awareness and client facing skills
  • Work on own initiative as well as part of a team
  • You have excellent written and oral communication skills along with strong IT skills
