Full job description

Shape the Future of Ireland’s Water Infrastructure

Following the exciting integration of Ryan Hanley into Stantec’s global business, our Water Sector team is entering a period of unprecedented growth. We are seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead high-profile, multidisciplinary projects that define the next generation of water and wastewater infrastructure in Ireland.

At Stantec, we don’t just consult; we innovate. From sustainable water resources and flood mitigation to advanced wastewater treatment, you will be at the heart of the industry’s most complex and rewarding programmes.

As a Senior Project Manager, you will be the bridge between technical excellence and client success. You will manage a diverse portfolio of projects through every stage of the lifecycle, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

In this role, you will provide strategic leadership by managing multidisciplinary teams to deliver complex water and utility programmes from inception to completion. You will act as a dedicated client advocate, building and maintaining trusted relationships with key stakeholders and occasionally working directly within client PMO environments to ensure seamless project integration.

Your success will be rooted in commercial rigor, as you oversee project budgets, resources, and schedules while maintaining a proactive approach to risk mitigation. Furthermore, you will be a champion for innovation, driving the development of sustainable solutions that align with our global commitment to environmental stewardship and technical excellence.

About You

You are a seasoned professional with a "big picture" mindset and the technical grounding to navigate complex infrastructure challenges. You thrive in dynamic environments and take pride in delivering excellence for clients.

Your Credentials:

  • Experience: A proven track record in Project Management within the water, energy, or utilities sectors, ideally working with a consultancy.
  • Qualifications: Ideally an industry-recognised certification (APM PMQ, PMP, or equivalent).
  • Skills: Exceptional stakeholder management, a proactive approach to risk, and the ability to juggle multiple high-priority deadlines.
  • Mindset: A passion for innovation and a desire to mentor the next generation of project professionals.

Why Stantec?

We provide the platform for you to lead. As part of our global Project Management community, you will have access to world-class resources, professional development, and the chance to work on projects that make a tangible difference to communities across Ireland.

Ready to lead the way? If you are a driven Project Manager looking for your next challenge, we want to hear from you.
