Beag is a small but busy, fast paced cafe. We pride ourselves on using local, seasonal produce to create the highest quality food and beverages daily.

Barista position:

We are looking for a Barista to join our team at Beag. Experience is preferable but enthusiasm to learn is welcomed. This role will suit someone who is a self starter, a team player, reliable, organised, efficient and motivated.

Role responsibilities:

  • Greeting and serving customers/operating the till
  • Making excellent coffee for customers
  • Serving food to customers
  • Cleaning down, clearing tables, end of service full front of house clean
  • Having in depth knowledge of our retail products and offerings
  • Having great attention to detail
  • Immaculate cleanliness and hygiene
  • An ability to work to the high standards we expect when under pressure

Work hours availability:

Weekdays and weekend availability needed although there will be a degree of flexibility.

  • Occasional availability in the evening time for pop up events.

Chef/Baker position:

We are looking for a Chef/Baker with previous experience to join our small team.

We are looking for someone who has previous experience working in a Chef/Baker role in a kitchen. This role will suit someone who is a self starter, a team player, reliable, organised, efficient and motivated. HACCP training is essential.

Role responsibilities:

  • Preparing toasties, salad, breakfast bowls, soups, batch cooking and ingredient preparation
  • Baking pastries, cakes, tarts etc.

  • An ability to plan and prepare
  • An ability to produce food to the high standards we expect even when under pressure
