Commercial Manager – Dublin

€130,000 – €150,000 + package

We are currently working with a leading international main contractor who are seeking an experienced Commercial Manager to join their central commercial team in Dublin.

This is a newly created position based primarily from the company’s Dublin office, with occasional travel to major projects across Europe.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Commercial Director, providing high-level commercial analysis, supporting decision-making and helping to drive consistency across the wider business.

This is a senior position suited to someone who is comfortable working autonomously, challenging existing processes and providing commercially focused recommendations to senior leadership.

The Role:

• Provide senior commercial support to the Commercial Director across the wider business
• Lead detailed reviews of monthly CVRs, identifying movements, risks, anomalies and opportunities
• Review commercial processes across different regions and drive greater consistency
• Work closely with Estimating and Procurement to review procurement activity against tender strategy
• Provide commercial lessons learned to Estimating and Operations teams
• Review client and subcontract agreements, identifying commercial and contractual risks
• Support the management of complex claims, disputes and commercial issues
• Lead centralised procurement initiatives and monitor supply chain performance
• Review project correspondence to ensure contractual compliance and effective communication
• Support the development of commercial teams, including graduate development and recruitment
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and greater use of technology across the commercial function

Requirements:

• 15+ years’ commercial experience within the construction industry
• Strong main contracting background is preferred
• Experience within specialist subcontracting and/or client-side environments would be advantageous
• Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying, Engineering or a related discipline
• Strong understanding of commercial management, forecasting and CVR analysis
• Strong contractual knowledge with experience supporting claims and disputes
• Experience overseeing procurement and supply chain performance
• Highly analytical with strong commercial and problem-solving ability
• Comfortable working independently and challenging existing processes where required
• Excellent communication and organisational skills

The Package:

• €130,000 – €150,000 salary, depending on experience
