Key Responsibilities:
- Respond to helpline calls from clients experiencing distress
- Provide one-to-one emotional and practical support
- Support clients across residential locations within County Donegal
- Source and arrange emergency accommodation when required
- Maintain accurate records in line with organisational policies
- Work independently while adhering to safeguarding and child protection procedures
This is a 35 hour per week role, based on a Monday to Friday schedule, although flexibility will be a requirement.
Desirable Skills & Experience:
- Previous experience working in a helpline or crisis support service
- Experience of lone working in community or residential settings
- Training in trauma‑informed practice
- Knowledge of domestic violence services and referral pathways within Ireland
- Experience sourcing or coordinating emergency accommodation
- Familiarity with risk assessment and safety planning
- Ability to remain calm and professional in high‑pressure or crisis situations
- Strong written communication and case‑note recording skills
- Knowledge of the dynamics of abuse and its impact on women and children
