Job Location: All areas of Donegal

The Role:

Must have a level 5 certificate in care or equivalent or be willing to work towards a level 5 qualification with a minimum of one years previous experience

You will be working as part of a dedicated team of support workers delivering care in the community, with the support of an experienced management team to help support you in your role.

Each person you work with is unique and will have a different set of needs, making the role both challenging and rewarding in equal measures. Care is delivered both in the persons home and in the community by assisting them with their daily living needs, helping the person to maintain their independence.

Support workers are responsible for the implementation of the requirements of the client's care plan, perform identified care duties and champion client comfort, dignity, respect, and wellbeing.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Assistance with dressing and personal hygiene.
  • Daily living tasks.
  • To ensure the servuce users health and wellbeing
  • Assisting and preparing meals for our clients.
  • Provide a high standard of care in line with DHCS policies.
  • Promote social inclusions with our clients.
  • Following care plans and recording accurate notes.

Qualifications & Experience:

Support workers must have either successfully completed a QQI approved Level 5 Modules Care of the Older Person and Care Skills/Healthcare Support; or have a minimum of one-years' experience caring for others and be willing to undertake the two qualification modules mentioned.

Additional Requirements:

  • Full clean driving license.
  • Own transport required.
