About The Role
FM Account Director
We are seeking a high-caliber FM Account Director to lead a prestigious, large-scale contract. This role is pivotal in overseeing the delivery of comprehensive soft, hard services and technical solutions. Includes Cleanroom environments. Managing a large multi-disciplinary team , the successful candidate will be responsible for operational excellence, strategic commercial management, and driving sustainable contract growth.
This role requires a dynamic and fast paced individual who has the ability to multi-task and hold teams responsible for their outputs. They must ensure their management team is well-coordinated and productive by managing its procedures and coaching its people to deliver our core services. The ideal candidate will be a highly competent leader with the ability to plan various operational activities in order to run the Account in the most efficient way possible.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & People Management
- Lead and inspire a direct and indirect workforce of circa 200 employees, including technical engineers, site managers, and administrative support.
- Collaborate with executive-level management in the development of performance goals and long-term operational plans

- Foster a culture of safety, technical competence, and high performance across all service streams.
- Execute robust succession planning and talent development to ensure long-term operational resilience.
Operational Delivery
- Oversee the delivery of complex hard FM services, ensuring full compliance with statutory regulations and health and safety standards (M&E, HVAC, life safety systems, etc.).
- Act as the primary high-level point of contact for the client, ensuring service level agreements (SLAs) and key performance indicators (KPIs) are consistently exceeded.
- Implement best-in-class technical maintenance strategies, moving from reactive to predictive maintenance models where possible.
Commercial & Financial Oversight
- Full P&L responsibility for a significant annual budget, ensuring disciplined financial management and reporting.
- Delivery of commercial performance targets in terms of margin, EBIT and growth targets across the division.

- Manage complex procurement and subcontractor relationships to drive value and service quality.
Skills and Qualifications:
- 10+ years senior leadership role in the appropriate field within the FM industry.
- Superior knowledge of multiple operational functions and principles, including finance, customer service, production and employee management.
- Proven ability to plan and manage operational process for maximum efficiency and productivity.
- Ability to streamline and implement new structures and roles that create speed, efficiency, and support rapidly shifting business demands.
- Strong working knowledge of industry regulations and legislative guidelines.
- A successful track record of operating at a strategic level, building strong client relationships and value-based management.
- Ability to remove barriers and drive innovation throughout the organisation and demonstrate creative and effective ways to motivate teams.
