Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora are seeking Medical Oncologists from Belgium to join multidisciplinary public cancer services across New Zealand. Deliver high-quality systemic cancer care within hospital-based teams and work in a collaborative, patient centred public health system.

About the opportunity

Medical Oncologists with Health New Zealand provide systemic cancer treatment, including chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and targeted therapies. You will participate in outpatient clinics, inpatient care, and multidisciplinary tumour boards, and contribute to service planning, clinical governance and research activity where available.

Salary, benefits and leave

Salary:

• The average salary package for Oncologists in New Zealand is EURO €170,101 (NZ $343,500)
• Packages are comprised of a base salary based on experience, plus allowances, and superannuation per the ASMS collective agreement

What you need to work here

You will need registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand (MCNZ) and an Annual Practising Certificate (APC).

International Medical Oncologists will typically hold a qualification comparable to the Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP).

If you hold a recognised UK or Irish primary medical qualification, you are likely eligible for MCNZ registration via the Competent Authority pathway.
