As a Microsoft Data Center Technician (DCT) Manager, you will lead a team of technicians, providing expert guidance on performing hardware deployments, diagnostics on equipment, and hardware decommissions. You will support technician performance, prioritizing technician tasks while monitoring Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Service Level Agreements (SLAs). This opportunity will allow you to model leadership principles, provide training to technicians, and accelerate your career growth in the process.

Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a high-performing team by fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, inclusion, and continuous improvement.
- Drive operational excellence by ensuring data center service quality, compliance, and adherence to established policies, procedures, and service level expectations.
- Oversee technician training, deployment/ decomissioning activities, and quality assurance processes to ensure successful execution of critical data center operations.
- Act as an escalation point for operational issues, coordinating resolution efforts and communicating process updates and changes with cross-functional stakeholders.
- Manage team priorities and resources, leading operational reviews and adjusting workloads to support changing business needs.
- Champion a strong safety culture by ensuring compliance with safety standards, promoting proactive risk management, and maintaining a safe working environment for employees and vendors.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent and basic knowledge of computer hardware and components AND experience supporting IT equipment or related technology or related experience working with technical teams.
- Experience directing, supervising, or managing others.
Background Check Requirements:
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:
- Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
While not required, we also look for the following Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate degree in Computer Science or related field and/or equivalent work experience.
- Experience supporting IT equipment or related technology.
- Experience working in a production, mission-critical 24x7x365 data center environment.
- Applicable certifications: Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) Foundation, ASICS/Inventory Control, CompTIA (A+, Server+, Network+), Basic Structure Cabling (BSC), Certified Data Center Professional (CDCP), Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP), Six Sigma Green Belt).
- Experience leading diverse, technical, or IT workforce of up to ten employees.
Data Center Technicians M3 - The typical base pay range for this role across Ireland is € 58,200.00 - € 103,800.00 per year. Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
