Apprenticeship Recruitment Programme 2026

We are now accepting applications for Apprentice Heavy Vehicle Mechanics for Bus Éireann Cork Depot with placements starting in September 2026.

About the Apprenticeship As a Heavy Vehicle Mechanic Apprentice, you will receive top-tier technical training to maintain and repair modern public service vehicles. You will gain hands-on experience in day-to-day repairs, preventative maintenance, and advanced vehicle diagnostics. The apprenticeship consists of seven phases: three off-the-job training phases designated by SOLAS and four on-the-job training phases with Bus Éireann and Dublin Bus. Minimum Entry Requirements

  • Applicants must be at least 16 years of age
  • Applicants must provide proof of SOLAS equivalence qualifications at the time of application
