Job description

We are looking for a junior graphic designer or a recent graduate of a graphic design course looking to gain hands on experience in the print Industry. The role would involve working with both our resident in-house designer and our print finishing department.

The offer is an initial 6 month contract with a view to a permanent role.

Responsibilities include:

Design work on small and large projects for high value clients

Setting up files for printing

Dealing with walk-in customers

The ability to work as part of a team.

The ability to work on several projects to a high standard at the same time.

Other duties also may include:

Laminating

Cutting materials to size on a guillotine or by hand

Cutting, weeding, and mounting vinyl to different materials

Creasing and Folding and Booklet Making

QC of all finished product is essential, including print and finishing quality, checking correct sizes and material of products, and ensuring all works have been complete.

Skills & Experience:

Competent in Illustrator, Photoshop & InDesign a distinct advantage

Knowledge and experience of wide format printing desirable

Good attention to detail and high concentration level

Must be confident, reliable, and motivated

Excellent organisational and time management skills
