Reporting to the Manager of Design, you will be an experienced creative with an active interest in design, branding, photo editing, and emerging trends.
About the role
- Working with digital imagery and programme identities to create impactful graphics and visual experiences for connected TVs, digital platforms and mobile devices
- To present the tone and personality of audio & visual programming through cover art and graphics
- To produce high-quality motion and digital design across RTÉ platforms, including social media, photo editing, illustration, and creating reusable assets such as templates, fonts and logos
- To keep up to date with emerging industry trends
- Be accountable for the usability and accessibility of design deliveries for the broadest possible cross-section of users
About you
- Professional graphic design experience and a relevant design qualification
- The ability to work quickly and creatively under pressure and deliver against set deadlines
- Strong communication skills to foster stakeholder relationships, manage needs and prioritise effectively
- Can plan and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Understand the importance of designing for a given target audience and RTÉ's values in accuracy and impartiality
- A passion for and an understanding of Public Service Broadcasting and knowledge of RTÉ’s output
- Experience of design delivery using the Adobe suite
