What’s the Opportunity
As custodians of Ireland's leading online marketplaces — Daft.ie, DoneDeal.ie, Adverts.ie and Gumtree.ie — we exist to make buying and selling in Ireland simple. Our Customer Support team is on the front line of that mission, giving our users fast, reliable, personal support and putting them at the centre of everything we do.
We're hiring a Junior Customer Support Professional to cover our weekend shifts (Friday–Sunday) on a 12-month contract. You'll be the first point of contact for our users at one of the busiest times for our platforms.
How you’ll Play your Part
- Handling a high volume of emails, reports and reviews efficiently and professionally
- Providing fast, accurate, friendly responses across all four brands
- Getting to the root cause of queries and complaints, spotting patterns, and looping in our developer team and trust team when needed
- Prioritising your time across different types of requests
- Monitoring platforms for fraudulent activity and reporting findings
- Troubleshooting technical queries and following process to resolve issues
- Building deep product and platform expertise, and a strong understanding of our users
What you’ll need to Thrive Here
- 2+ years' experience in a customer service role
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
- A keen eye for detail and pattern recognition
- Strong time management and ability to work independently
- Comfortable flagging issues clearly to the wider team
- Familiarity with Zendesk is a plus
- Available to work Friday, Saturday and Sunday each week
Benefits - what you can expect
- Our goal is to maintain a culture where people look forward to work – whether in our centrally located office in Dublin or working from home.
- We do that by making Distilled a place you'll be listened to and trusted to do your job. Where you can have fun, learn and feel appreciated. And where you get focused career development, growth and progression opportunities.
- We want you to feel confident that this is the right place for you, your career, your wellbeing and your future.
Our Values & Shared Behaviours
We have five core values: We have a growth mindset. We like to simplify things and make things happen. We collaborate across teams, business units and brands. We're passionate about what we do.
These values give us a framework for leadership and daily decision making and are brought to life by our shared behaviours: Create with Impact, Play your Part, and Thrive Here. Together, they define how we show up for our colleagues, our users, and our customers, and what it means to thrive at Distilled.
We are a diverse bunch of people here in Distilled, and we want to continue to attract and retain a diverse range of people into our Company. We do not discriminate based on gender, marital status, family status, sexual orientation, religion, age, disability, race and membership of the Traveller community.
