In this role, you will report directly to the AI Factory Lead and take charge of managing Agile activities that are essential for the successful delivery of AI Factory Use Cases. Your responsibilities will include facilitating collaboration among cross-functional pods composed of data scientists, data engineers, analytics translators, and business stakeholders.

As the Scrum Master, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our AI and analytics products are delivered on time and meet the highest standards of quality. You will promote Agile best practices, foster an environment of teamwork and communication, and help the team navigate challenges to achieve our strategic objectives. If you have a passion for Agile methodologies and a desire to drive impactful data solutions.

At AXA we work smart, empowering our people to balance their time between home and the office in a way that works best for them, their team and our customers. You'll work majority of your week away from home. Away from home means either attendance at one of our office locations, visiting clients or attending industry events.

What you’ll be doing:
  • Coordinate and structure the planning of delivery pods, supporting their development to ensure effective collaboration.
  • Build and motivate high-performing Agile teams, leveraging your experience to guide Agile delivery within a cross-functional AI/analytics environment.
  • Collaborate with a diverse team focused on driving experimentation and the industrialization of AI solutions at AXA Ireland.
  • Align team activities and release planning with evolving business priorities, ensuring timely delivery of initiatives.
  • Adapt to changing requirements and ambiguity in iterative use case delivery while promoting a culture of continuous improvement through Agile metrics.
  • Work closely with Product Owners to enhance prioritization, reporting, and stakeholder engagement processes.
  • Develop coaching and mentoring practices in Agile and Scrum methodologies at an organizational level.
  • Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among Product Owners, Translators, Engineers, Scientists, and Business Leads to drive successful AI and analytics initiatives.

  • At least 5+ years’ experience in Scrum practices.
  • A Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
  • Understanding and experience of Waterfall and Agile based development methodologies, particularly on large scale projects with familiarity with data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR).
  • Experience in integrating with external / third party systems.
  • Strong understanding of data analytics concepts, including predictive modelling, data visualisation, and data storytelling.
  • Familiarity with data lifecycle management, from discovery to delivery of insights.
  • Strong Communication Skills: Ability to simplify complex data insights for non-technical audiences.
  • Proven management background to lead, motivate and develop technical teams.
  • Collaboration: Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and manage multiple stakeholders.
This role is an allocated Controlled Function under Fitness & Probity Regime, which means the successful candidate will be subject to an enhanced level of background screening requirements. You can find more information on axa.ie/careers.
As a precondition of employment for this role, you must be eligible and authorized to work in Ireland and/or the United Kingdom.
