Due to continued growth, we are seeking an Experienced Air Freight Coordinator to join our dynamic Air Freight team.

The Role

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced air freight professional to take ownership of international import and export shipments while delivering exceptional customer service and operational excellence.

The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating worldwide air freight movements, ensuring shipments are handled efficiently, compliantly, and in line with customer expectations and company quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage international air freight import and export shipments from booking through to final delivery.
  • Prepare and process all relevant air freight documentation, including MAWBs and HAWBs.
  • Obtain and prepare customer quotations and convert enquiries into confirmed shipments.
  • Liaise with airlines, overseas agents, hauliers, customs authorities, and customers to ensure smooth shipment execution.
  • Monitor shipment progress and proactively communicate updates to customers.
  • Resolve customer queries efficiently and professionally.
  • Coordinate time-critical and priority shipments where required.
  • Ensure all operational systems are maintained and updated accurately throughout the shipment lifecycle.
  • Maintain compliance with company procedures, aviation security requirements, and industry regulations.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and international network partners.
  • Work collaboratively with Customs, Ocean Freight, Road Freight, Warehousing and Accounts departments.
  • Adhere to all company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and quality processes.

Candidate Requirements

Essential

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in international air freight operations.
  • Strong knowledge of air freight import and export procedures.
  • Experience preparing MAWBs, HAWBs and associated shipping documentation.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Strong organisational and multitasking abilities.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong IT and administration skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Positive, proactive attitude and willingness to embrace change.
  • Fluent English, both written and spoken.
  • Full authorisation to work in Ireland.

Desirable

  • Experience within a freight forwarding environment.
  • Knowledge of customs procedures and documentation.
  • Experience handling time-critical, pharmaceutical, or dangerous goods shipments.
  • Knowledge of airline booking systems and international freight networks.
