Business Process Analyst
Location: Dublin
Role Type: Contract - 6 months
Work Setup: Hybrid - 3 days office based 2 days WFH
Salary: £450 - 650

The role

We are seeking an experienced Business Process Analyst to join our client, a well-established, global insurance company, on an initial 6 months contract in Dublin. As a Business Process Analyst, you should have previous experience in a similar role within an insurance or large financial services organisation carrying out gap analysis, as-is / to-be process mapping, process improvements and process optimsation.

Responsibilities

Business Analysis & Requirements

• Elicit, document, and analyse business, functional and non-functional requirements, including user stories
• Perform process mapping, gap analysis, and workflow documentation across insurance domains (finance, billing, underwriting, claims, policy admin)
• Translate business needs into clear BRDs, FRDs, user stories, and acceptance criteria
• Work closely with business and technical teams to ensure accurate understanding and implementation of requirements

Stakeholder Management

• Act as the bridge between business user, product teams, and IT while facilitating workshops, requirement sessions, and UAT planning.
• Manage expectations and maintain alignment throughout the project lifecycle
• Data & Reporting
• Analyse finance, claims, policy, and premium-related data and partner with BI teams to create and validate reports, dashboards, and KPIs
• Support data migration, data quality checks, and system integration activities

Process Mapping

• Lead AS-IS/TO-BE process mapping and discovery sessions, producing detailed workflow documentation and maintaining process documentation for compliance and audits.
• Identify inefficiencies and automation opportunities, facilitating process-improvement workshops and aligning designs with system capabilities.
• Contribute to SOP development and training materials

Required Skills and experience

• Business analysis experience with a focus on business process analysis
• Proactive relationship-builder who fosters a collaborative, motivated team environment and engages stakeholders at all levels.
• Works effectively across technical and non-technical teams, and comfortable discussing systems and technical details with architects and developers
• Strong negotiator with the ability to understand and manage expectations
• Excellent communication skills - with a keen attention to detail
• Strong leader with excellent planning and organisational skills, experienced in managing large, strategic, and complex projects.
