  • Escalation & Care Pathways: Identify red flags, escalate urgent cases, and support closed-loop referrals to surgical dermatology teams when required.
  • Governance & Standards: Adhere to NMBI requirements, infection prevention controls, data protection (GDPR), and clinic safety protocols.

Requirements & QualificationsEssential:

  • Registration: Active NMBI registration (Registered Nurse).
  • Clinical Experience: Background in dermatology, skin cancer, plastic surgery, primary care skin assessment, or a related field.
  • Dermoscopy: Verified competence and experience in dermoscopy and skin lesion assessment.
  • Digital & Imaging: Proficient in clinical photography, image-quality assessment, and using clinical IT systems/mobile tech.
  • Communication & Safety: Empathetic communicator with strong clinical judgment and a strict adherence to scope of practice.

Desirable:

  • Postgraduate module/qualification in Dermatology, Skin Cancer Assessment, or Dermoscopy.
  • Prior experience in teledermatology, mole mapping, or nurse-led clinics.
