As part of its expansion plans, Arachas is seeking an experienced engineer to join the software development team. The position will be in a flexible, fast-paced, collaborative team environment, and involve working with all levels of management and external service providers.
Location: Waterford
Reports to: Software Development Manager
Role Accountabilities and Core Responsibilities
Software Development:
-
Develop and maintain systems to meet the changing needs of the business
-
Manage the implementation of new systems and upgrades
-
Consult with internal clients and external partners to gather requirements about program needs, objectives, functions and features
-
Develop standard and ad-hoc reports for Arachas management team
-
Develop and maintain procedures and policies
-
Implementation of best practices
-
Other projects as assigned by the team lead
Experience Requirements:
-
Computer Science degree or equivalent
-
Visual Studio: VB.net or C# development
-
Experience with Microsoft SQL Server and reporting solutions – SSRS, Microsoft Report Viewer
-
Experience with software engineering best practices and SDLC (code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, release, documentation control and change management)
-
Experience with web services
-
Proficient knowledge of Microsoft desktop products, especially Access, Excel & Word
-
Knowledge of project management strategy, such as Agile

Interest with Microsoft Azure, or other cloud computing platform is desirable

Knowledge of Team Foundation Server, GIT or other source control system is desirable

Prior experience working on financial services systems is preferable
