Full job description

Blackwell Energy design and install residential and commercial solar PV systems and EV charge points across Ireland.

Due to continued expansion we require an experienced Business Development Manager with experience in solar PV or thermal solar. The successful candidate should be based in North East or the Dublin commuter belt. Due to the company's strong growth trajectory a fantastic opportunity exists for career progression.

Target markets for this role includes residential properties along with commercial properties, agricultural buildings and schools across Ireland. Our product range includes the market-leading solar equipment including high efficiency solar PV panels, inverters, hot water diverters, batteries and EV chargers. Approximately 50% of our projects are on construction sites so the role may suit candidates who are well connected with M&E contractors, building contractors and developers. The remaining 50% of our projects are a combination of residential homes and small community projects such as schools, sports clubs and small to medium businesses.

Profile:

We require an energetic, friendly, hard working person who is highly self-motivated. The candidate should be a self-starter capable of engaging customers and actively selling our product through a genuine passion for renewables and helping people lower their Carbon footprint. Experience in solar PV is important for this role and a technical background in renewables or the electrical industry would be highly beneficial. The role includes an uncapped bonus structure.

Tasks:

  • Receive daily leads and arrange to visit homeowners at a mutually suitable time. Surveying their homes generally within business hours, or in the early evening Providing a quote and securing the business.
  • Analyse customer energy bills and survey home to determine most suitable roof pitches.
  • Design the optimum solution for the client with support from our technical team where required.
  • Checking out the home for technical challenges.
  • Assist homeowners with any queries they may have.
  • Liaise with Project Manager and on-site construction teams for the successful delivery of the project. Provide the necessary level of detail.

Experience:

  • Previous sales experience ideally in a Solar PV sales role.
  • Background in technical products with an ability to clearly explain and demonstrate.
  • An understanding of energy efficiency products.
  • Used to working with CRM software, such as Hubspot and/or Trello would be useful advantage.

Qualifications.
