The Role:
Rakuten Kobo Inc. is looking for a Software Developer Intern to join our Global Delivery team! The team is comprised of many highly talented enthusiastic individuals who ensure the services and offerings from Kobo are available to both internal and external customers.
Reporting to the Global Delivery Manager, the Software Delivery Intern will work with the Global Delivery Team made up of Developers and Testers and take an active part in delivering high quality software to Rakuten Kobo’s users.
The Person:
- A passion for software development and delivery.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Have a desire to work in a team but also be self-organising enough to be able to work on a task independently.
The Skillset:
Required:
- Experience with React.
- Some previous experience in and Object Oriented Software Language such as C# or Java.
- An understanding of T-SQL Databases.
- Experience with web technologies (HTML, Javascript, CSS).
- Knowledge of using source control systems such as Git or TFS.
Nice to Haves:
- An understanding of server side web technologies such as Web Api and MVC.
- Experience using an ORM framework (NHibernate, Entity Framework).
