We are thrilled to announce the opening of a brand-new, purpose-built Children’s Disability Respite Centre in County Donegal. This brand-new service is easily commutable for candidates across Northern Ireland, including Derry, Londonderry, Strabane, and Omagh (Tyrone)!

Our mission is to provide safe, fun, and empowering short breaks for children with disabilities while offering essential support to their families. We are building a dynamic, compassionate, and high-performing team from the ground up to establish a warm, home-away-from-home environment.

Support Workers

  • The Role: Provide direct personal care, plan engaging respite activities, support daily living routines, and act as dedicated keyworkers to ensure children experience a safe, fun, and empowering break.

Essential Qualifications & Certifications

  • Education: Minimum QQI Level 5 (or equivalent) in Social Care, Healthcare Support, Disability Studies, or a related discipline.
  • Vetting & Clearance: Garda Vetting and/or AccessNI clearance, along with full employment reference checks.
  • Driving Licence: Full, clean driving licence (preferred for transport needs, given commute routes from Northern Ireland).

Key Experience & Technical Skills

  • Care Background: Proven experience working with children or young adults with intellectual disabilities, autism, or complex needs.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Strong working knowledge of HIQA (Health Information and Quality Authority) standards and regulations.
  • Person-Centered Care: Demonstrated ability to implement individual care plans, risk assessments, and positive behavior support strategies.

  • Team Collaboration: Ability to work effectively within a newly established, dynamic team to build a warm, home-away-from-home setting.
