Our optical communications systems are integrated and deployed in satellite communications systems. The work is exciting and challenging and is at the forefront of the technology domains. As part of our expansion, we are currently looking for a suitably motivated - Business Intelligence Analyst - to join our group.
As the BI Analyst at MBRYONICS, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the delivery of critical components and features within our mission to build the Internet in Space. You will be responsible for working with both our Strategic Bid team, the Program Management Office, Finance, Operations and the Research and Development teams to support the delivery of solutions to partners and end-customers that contribute to our overall success.
What you'll do
- Data Analysis and Reporting: Collate and analyse data from several MB systems such as sales, planning, finance, operations and research and development. Respond to questions on the data from the Head of PMO by providing relevant reports and visualization/dashboards.
- Collaborate: Collaborate with departments to systematise the identification, collation, integration and aggregation of key business data to provide business insights
- Manage: Create and maintain a centralized database for the purposes of BI reporting
- Automate: Assist the Head of PMO to automate data collection, integration and aggregation
- Communicate: Communicate findings verbally, through written reports and visually through dashboards using tools such as Tableau and Power BI.
- Maintain Standards and Processes: Maintain the PMO repository of relevant project standards, processes, forecasts and change records.
- Innovate: Work with the Head of PMO, Project Managers and Product Owners to innovate on data collection, maintenance and reporting
Who you are
- Analysis and Reporting: Experienced in database management and analysing data from project, resource and financial systems and reporting on key outcomes in a concise and clear manner to provide business insights and decision-grade information.
- Technical/Software: Experienced with one or more business intelligence and visualisation tools such as Tableau, Power BI and Python/R
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to analyse complex data sets and formulate these into reports and dashboards that provide the right level of information for the audience and that enable timely decision-making.
- Collaboration: Able to foster great collaboration and working relationships across departments to provide the business with timely business insights
- Problem-solving: Strong analytical, critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Technical Acumen: Able to understand complex technical concepts related to optical communications, satellite systems, or high-speed data transfer.
- Strategic Thinking: Able to connect data trends to overarching strategic objectives and company vision.
Desirable Skills & Experience
- Third-level qualification in data analysis or related discipline
- 5+ years of experience in data analysis and visualization/reporting role, preferably in the telecommunications, space or technology industry or regulated manufacturing.
Nice to Have
- Familiarity with ECSS (European Co-operation for Space Standards), Aerospace standards, space technologies and space industry trends
- Experience working in a research and development environment.
- Background in a fast-paced, high-tech environment.
