Full job description

Wood Fire Café, a busy Italian restaurant in Dublin city centre, is looking for a friendly, enthusiastic and customer-focused Waitress / Waiter to join our team.

We are seeking someone who is passionate about hospitality, enjoys working in a fast-paced restaurant environment and can deliver excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Welcome guests warmly and provide excellent customer service.
  • Take food and drink orders accurately and efficiently.
  • Explain menu items, daily specials and recommendations.
  • Serve food and beverages professionally.
  • Handle customer enquiries and special requests.
  • Process payments and operate the POS system.
  • Maintain cleanliness and presentation of the dining area.
  • Work closely with kitchen and front-of-house colleagues to ensure smooth service.

Requirements

  • Italian language proficiency is essential.
  • Good English communication skills are required.
  • Additional European languages, such as Spanish, French, Portuguese or German, are a strong advantage.
  • Previous experience as a waitress, waiter or restaurant server is preferred.
  • Friendly, professional and confident communication skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a busy restaurant.
  • Good teamwork, reliability and a positive attitude.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and public holidays.
  • Knowledge of Italian cuisine, wines and hospitality is an advantage.

Pay: €14.15-€15.00 per hour
