  • Share your passion for houseplants by offering practical guidance on watering, lighting, feeding, repotting, and general indoor plant health.
  • Maintain exceptional standards across the indoor plant department, ensuring all plants are healthy, well-presented, and cared for correctly.
  • Create inspiring indoor plant displays and merchandising presentations that reflect current trends and encourage sales.
  • Ensure all plant labelling, POS materials, and customer information are accurate and up to date.
  • Assist in driving sales through excellent product knowledge, customer engagement, and proactive recommendations.
  • Handle customer enquiries and resolve issues effectively while maintaining the highest standards of customer service.
  • Support stock management activities including goods inwards, stock control, stock takes, and plant care routines.
  • Keep up to date with the latest indoor plant trends, new varieties, and customer interests within the growing houseplant market.
  • Assist with the day-to-day operation of the store and support colleagues across other departments as required.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Has a genuine passion for indoor plants, houseplants, and urban greening.
  • Possesses strong knowledge of indoor plant care, including watering requirements, lighting conditions, feeding schedules, pest management, and plant health.
  • Can confidently advise customers on selecting and maintaining indoor plants for different environments and lifestyles.
  • Holds a horticultural qualification (preferred but not essential).
  • Demonstrates excellent customer service skills and enjoys building relationships with customers.
  • Has a keen eye for visual merchandising and creating attractive, engaging plant displays.
  • Experience in horticultural retail, garden centres, floristry, plant shops, or retail is desirable but not essential.
  • Is enthusiastic about continuous learning and staying informed about new indoor plant varieties, trends, and care techniques.
