Host – The Quays Bar & Restaurant, Galway

The Quays Bar & Restaurant in the heart of Galway is seeking a friendly, confident and outgoing Host to join our front of house team.

This is a key customer-facing role, ideal for someone with great communication skills, a warm personality and a natural ability to engage with people. As Host, you will be the first point of contact for many of our guests, helping to create a welcoming atmosphere and showcasing the food, drink and hospitality experience The Quays has to offer.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Friendly, confident and comfortable speaking with the public.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Outgoing, enthusiastic and well presented.
  • Previous hospitality, retail, promotions or customer-facing experience is an advantage.
  • A positive attitude and ability to work as part of a busy team.
  • Flexible and available to work evenings and weekends as required.

About The Role

Key Responsibilities

  • Welcoming guests in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Engaging with customers and providing information on menus, food offerings, drinks and daily specials.
  • Supporting the front of house team with guest flow, table availability and general customer enquiries.
  • Creating a positive first impression for both walk-in customers and visitors to Galway.
  • Helping promote the venue’s food and beverage offering in a confident and approachable way.
  • Maintaining a professional appearance and upbeat attitude throughout service.
