Full job description
Project title: Development of a novel continuous respiratory vital sign sensor
Failure to detect and treat respiratory compromise results in significant human and economic impact. Respiratory compromise is associated with increased hospital length-of-stay, costs and mortality risk. Today, there is no non-invasive continuous monitoring solution for both respiratory rate and volume, which are essential for accurate monitoring and early detection. The solution, the Ribbon device, aims to monitor both rate and volume continuously for the first time. It has the potential to eliminate delayed diagnosis of respiratory compromise, enabling earlier intervention for better patient outcomes at lower costs to hospital healthcare systems.
