About Our Client
At Prestige Talent we have a brand new role for a leading international premium consumer goods organisation is seeking an experienced Demand & Inventory Planning Manager to join its global supply chain operation in Dublin. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role within a highly collaborative planning environment, leading forecasting, inventory optimisation, and cross-functional planning activities that support international markets.
This is a highly visible role and proven success in leading teams is vital. This position would suit either an established Planning Manager or a Senior Demand Planner, Inventory Planner.
The Opportunity
Reporting into the Supply Chain leadership team, you will be responsible for leading integrated demand and inventory planning processes, ensuring the organisation maintains optimal stock levels while balancing service, availability, and financial performance.
You will work closely with Sales, Marketing, Supply Planning, Distribution, Finance, and Commercial teams to drive forecasting accuracy, inventory optimisation, and continuous improvement initiatives across a complex international supply chain network.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the demand forecasting and inventory planning process across multiple product categories and international markets.
- Develop and maintain rolling demand forecasts using statistical, analytical, and data-driven planning methodologies.
- Drive Demand Review and S&OP processes, ensuring alignment between commercial plans, operational capabilities, and financial objectives.
- Establish and maintain inventory strategies, including target stock levels, safety stock policies, and replenishment parameters.
- Monitor forecasting accuracy, inventory health, service levels, and planning KPIs, implementing improvement initiatives where required.
- Conduct scenario planning and risk analysis to support business decision-making.
- Partner with key stakeholders across Sales, Marketing, Merchandising, Supply Planning, Distribution, and Finance to ensure demand and supply alignment.
- Analyse inventory trends and identify opportunities to optimise stock investment while maintaining customer service excellence.
- Communicate planning assumptions, business risks, and opportunities to senior leadership teams.
- Lead, coach, mentor, and develop a team of planning professionals, establishing clear objectives and performance standards.
- Support planning transformation initiatives, process improvements, and the adoption of innovative planning tools and technologies.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, continuous learning, and operational excellence.

Experience & Qualifications
- Degree qualified in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related discipline.
- Several years' experience within Supply Chain Planning, Demand Planning, Inventory Planning, Supply Planning, or S&OP environments.
- Previous people management experience preferred; however, experienced Team Leads or Senior Planners with demonstrated leadership capability will also be considered.
- Strong understanding of forecasting methodologies, inventory management principles, and planning models.
- Experience working within international or multi-market supply chain environments.
- Strong project management and process improvement experience.
- Advanced analytical skills with experience using planning systems, data analysis, and reporting tools.
- Understanding of financial planning concepts, including inventory investment, working capital, and budget alignment.
- Experience in scenario modelling and risk analysis.
- Fluent English is essential. Additional European languages would be advantageous.
