Join STS Group as our next Electrical Engineer in Athlone!
STS Group is a market-leading Electrical and Instrumentation contractor, working on mission-critical projects for major clients across Ireland and Europe. We are looking for an Electrical Engineer to join our exciting pharma construction project in Athlone.

The Opportunity
As our Electrical Engineer, you will be joining the beginning of the project, working initially on preconstruction activities, working with the Project Manager to prepare for installation delivery. You will gain experience coordinating the technical design for the onsite installation, right through to successful commissioning and ensuring that we achieve our project aims and objectives safely and efficiently.

Some of the Key Tasks
  • Review the electrical installation with the BIM team to ensure the design is constructible with adequate space for installation and maintenance of all equipment and cabling.
  • Engagement with supply chain during both initial procurement and delivery phases to ensure optimal product/equipment selection and delivery.
  • Supporting with technical Audits on site (QA/QC), advising management on any QA issues that arise.
  • Ensure that all documentation and certification is complete and checked prior to final handover
Who We're Looking For
  • Relevant third level qualification in Electrical Engineering, or electrical trade qualification.
  • Great IT skills.
  • 2-5 years' electrical engineering experience, ideally with both design and project delivery.
  • Experience in either pharmaceutical plant or data centre environments would be beneficial
  • Candidates must have work authorisation for Ireland (e.g: EU Citizen or valid work permit)
