Vhi Health & Wellbeing DAC is currently recruiting for a permanent part-time Urgent Care Physician position at our Cork clinic. The successful candidate will be committed to delivering exceptional patient-centred care, ensuring the highest standards of clinical quality, safety, and professionalism in a dynamic healthcare environment.

What will you do:
- Provide care to patients presenting with a range of urgent care presentations
- Treat patients who attend the clinic for consultation, aged from 12 months
- Minor injuries; including: sprains, fractures and wounds
- Minor illnesses
- Initial interpretation of x-rays and ECGs
- Facilitating referrals to ED/ specialists where indicated
What you need to be successful:
Education & Experience
- Registered with the Irish Medical Council.
- Minimum of 5 years post graduate experience in clinical practice, including significant experience in general practice and a minimum of 2 years recent urgent care/ emergency medicine experience.
- Training in emergency medicine, general practice or other postgraduate qualification would be highly beneficial.
- 6 months experience with paediatric patients is desirable.
- Flexibility across a 7-day roster.
- BLS
- Patient focused
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Strong communication skills
- Good knowledge of risk management and clinical audit
