Security Officer, Bank Contract - UPMC Whitfield Hospital, Waterford
Location: UPMC Whitfield Hospital
Job type: Casual/Bank
Overview of role:
UPMC are currently recruiting for a Security Officer on a bank/causal contract at UPMC Whitfield Hospital in Waterford.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Managing main reception and be welcoming to staff & visitors
- Manage contractors and associated paperwork
- Manage visiting company representatives
- Deal with queries from visitors and guests
- Controlling large numbers of keys being issued to staff members
- Monitoring and adjusting access control systems
- Assist patients if required
- Monitoring and controlling Fire systems
- Monitoring of carpark and barrier systems
- Enforcing company rules and policies
- Protect property, staff, visitors, and guests
- Ability to multitask in a busy environment
- Support patrolling officers where required
- Work closely and report to site supervisor daily
- Deal with emergencies and consult with Gardaí where required if necessary
Qualifications & Experience:
- Must hold a valid Private Security Authority License - Static
- Minimum 6 months industry experience
- Basic IT Skills, be comfortable Operating software applications
- Healthcare experiences an advantage
- Manage front of house reception / Information desk
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work on own initiative
- Flexibility around working hours and day/night shifts
Salary: €31,673.26 - €39,416.85 per annum based on a 39 hour week
