The Company

East Terminals is the stevedoring operator in the Port of Drogheda. Handling the full range of bulk and break bulk cargoes in addition to managing warehouse facilities, we are seeking to expand our operations team and appoint a number of new Port Operatives to join our existing team.

The Role

As a Team\Operations Supervisor, your duties will include but not be limited to:

  • Working as part of a small, dedicated team to oversee operational activity.
  • You will be responsible for planning, managing, and coordinating daily operations.
  • You will be responsible for managing an operations team.
  • Co-ordinating and managing the stock control and management programme.
  • Being responsible for team’s adherence to PPE.
  • Taking a lead in ensuring adherence to best practice in relation to health and safety procedures.
  • Ensuring all required administration duties are completed.
  • Co-ordinating training schedules and training courses.
  • Flexible working hours
  • Other duties as assigned.

The Candidate

East Terminals are seeking to expand our operations team and appoint a new Team Supervisor within a dynamic environment with a flexible attitude, excellent organisational, planning, communication and time management skills.

The candidate should have experience in Team Leadership or Management in a operations based industry and display strong communication and organisational skills. Ability to work well within a team and on own initiative is essential. All candidates must be safety conscious and have a genuine ‘can-do’ attitude. The successful candidates must be able to work flexible hours and be available to work weekends as required to support a busy 24/7 operation.

Requirements:

· Previously held a supervisor, team leader or coordinator role.

  • Problem solving and decision-making skills
  • Good leadership, management and interpersonal skills
  • Strong verbal, written and communication skills
  • Ability to work on your own initiative as well as a team environment.
  • Computer literate
  • Forklift experience an advantage
  • Ongoing training will be provided
