Full job description

Location: Ennis, Co. Clare

We're looking for a reliable, hardworking person to join our small artisan bakery team.

This is a hands-on role for someone who takes genuine pride in keeping a workplace exceptionally clean, organised and running smoothly. The primary focus of the role is maintaining the highest standards of hygiene throughout our production bakery, while also supporting the team with a variety of day-to-day bakery tasks.

As our bakery continues to grow, we're looking for someone who enjoys being part of a close-knit team, is happy to pitch in where needed and wants to grow with the business.

What you'll be doing

  • Carrying out the daily and end-of-day cleaning of the bakery to an exceptional standard.
  • Deep cleaning bakery equipment and production areas.
  • Washing trays, utensils, mixing bowls and bakery equipment.
  • Maintaining excellent hygiene and food safety standards throughout the day.
  • Assisting with ingredient preparation and basic bakery production.
  • Helping with packing, labelling and preparing orders.
  • Receiving and putting away deliveries.
  • Keeping the bakery organised and supporting the team wherever needed.

About you

You'll probably enjoy this role if you:

  • Take pride in cleaning and notice the details that others miss.
  • Like things to be organised and well maintained.
  • Are reliable, punctual and trustworthy.
  • Can work independently and use your own initiative.
  • Are physically fit and comfortable working in a busy bakery environment.
  • Enjoy working as part of a friendly team.
  • Are adaptable and willing to take on different tasks as the bakery grows.

Previous experience in commercial cleaning, hospitality, catering or food production would be an advantage, but it's not essential. We're much more interested in finding someone with a positive attitude, strong work ethic and high standards.

What we offer

  • A permanent position in a growing artisan bakery.
  • Full training and support.
  • A friendly, respectful working environment where everyone's contribution matters.
  • The opportunity to learn bakery production skills and become an important part of our team.
  • Competitive pay, depending on experience.

We're looking for someone who sees cleaning as an important skill, not just a task. If you enjoy creating clean, well-organised spaces and would like to be part of a team producing quality artisan baked goods, we'd love to hear from you
