Full job description
At Enrich we provide innovative resource recovery solutions to drive the circular economy. We manage and operate a number of composting sites using both in vessel and windrow composting treating a variety of waste materials.
We produce compost, horticultural products and support our customers to manage and improve soils using methods which protect this valuable natural resource and the environment for future generations. (www.enrich.ie)
The successful candidate will be the Technical Lead for the Company’s Horticulture Products and Soil Services business, manage the Company’s R&D projects as a well as providing technical support to the compliance and operations teams.
The Role
· Providing technical support to the Horticulture Products team in relation to existing products and working with them to develop new products to meet customer requirements.
· Managing Enrich’s soil consultancy projects, providing site assessments, resource surveys and management plans.
· Responsible for Quality Standards for Horticulture Products and the development and implementation of ISO 9001 quality management system.
· Developing and delivering CPD courses for Landscape Professionals
· Building and maintaining relationships with relevant Professional Bodies
· Managing R&D projects, including funding applications and collaborating with Irish Research Bodies and Universities
· Researching and assessing new environmental technologies to drive innovation
· Managing internal and external laboratory analysis
· Supporting the compliance team for EPA License and Council Permit compliance
· Contributing to and reviewing EIARs for Licensed and Permitted sites.
The Person This is a varied and dynamic role. Training will be provided and learning on the job will be essential, therefore candidates must have a curious attitude and be committed to continuous learning. A knowledge or interest in Soil Science is desirable. A primary degree in science including significant study of chemistry, bio-chemistry and microbiology is required. An additional post graduate qualification in a relevant field, would be an advantage. Good report writing and communication skills essential. The ideal person should be self-motivated and proactive. It is likely that the successful candidates will have at least three years work experience in a related role.
Other Requirements
The successful applicant must currently reside in Ireland or be in the processing of locating to Ireland.
Driving Licence is essential.
Salary Competitive, negotiable based on experience.
Pay: €45,000.00-€55,000.00 per year
