Full job description

Chevron College is a QQI accredited education provider and delivers an extensive range of further and higher education programmes. Due to the popularity of our ELC Level 5 & 6 and BA in Early Childhood Education and Care Programmes, we are seeking to add to our panel of professional placement supervisors nationwide.

You will need to be available to travel to early childhood services to provide mentoring, supervision, and assessment of students. This role may suit someone already working in higher or further education, or someone working part-time in the sector who would like to work in higher education.

Your new role:

1. Provide mentoring and supervision to learners and their placement setting.

2. The evaluation and assessment of learners in their placement setting.

3. Communicate learners progress to the placement lead and the programme leader.

4. Liaise with the placement lead to ensure the integrity of the placement.

5. Play an active role in the evaluation of professional practice placement settings.

What you will need to succeed:

1. A minimum QQI Level 8 in Early Childhood Education and Care (or equivalent), Level 9 is desirable.

2. At least 3 years experience working in an early childhood education and care service, with at least one year in a leadership role.

3. Child Protection/Safeguarding Training.

4. The role is subject to Garda Vetting.

All Training will be provided.
