Full job description
The Colas Group operates internationally in all aspects of transport infrastructure. As part of the global organisation, Colas Ireland is primarily involved the distribution of bitumen products, emulsion and emulsifier manufacturing, and the provision of specialist road maintenance services on the national, regional and local road network. In Ireland Colas operates from 14 locations across the island of Ireland.
Purpose of the Role
The purpose of this role is to run the day-to-day operations in our manufacturing facility in Dublin. The role would suit applicants from any industrial, production or warehousing environment who wish to be trained, developed and progressed into a worldwide company offering stability and job security. The salary for this role is €18.36 per hour plus overtime and excellent benefits listed below. Applications from D12 and surrounding areas would be preferred.
Main Responsibilities
In this role you’ll be trained and supported in running our automated and manual production systems, setting up and maintaining equipment, monitoring quality and output, and handling raw material requests and reporting. You’ll load, package and ship products as needed, safely offload bitumen, and report any faults, incidents or near misses to the maintenance or safety team. Safety and good housekeeping are essential: follow SOPs, wear PPE, take part in drills and safety meetings, and help maintain a tidy workplace. You’ll also help train new starters, suggest cost-saving ideas, meet production targets, and provide excellent customer service. We’ll provide friendly, hands-on onboarding, ongoing training and daily support from an experienced team so you can succeed and grow. Other reasonable duties may be required.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will have experience in an industrial or manual environment or have the desire and willingness to learn and develop into a production operative role. You will demonstrate high ethical standards, reliability and adherence to our health and safety procedures.
