Job description- Installer – General Operative

Mi-Flues Ltd manufactures, designs, distributes and installs high quality flue and chimney solutions to the Industrial and Data Centre sectors, Commercial, and Merchant markets. With future significant growth planned we are recruiting for the following role to join our Installation team.

As an Installer / General Operative for the Mi-Flues Installation Team you will:

Carry out and complete Installations and related Works (Site surveys, camera surveys, onsite repairs, and maintenance), to ensure Commercial budget is achieved. You may also be required to carry out duties in the manufacturing processes in our factory in Summerhill, Co. Meath, if work dictates.

As an Installer, due to the nature of your role, you will normally be required to travel throughout Ireland and at times to international locations. If carrying out duties in the factory you will work from our premises in Summerhill.

Main duties and responsibilities:

Pre-Installation / Preparation for site:

· Completing Induction for relevant site, where appropriate, prior to going on site

· Taking relevant flue and accessories to site

· Ensuring you have all necessary tools and equipment for site

· Maintaining all relevant tools and equipment to ensure they are site ready and fit for purpose

· Ensuring you take all paperwork relevant to site in question as per procedure (Drawings, Flue Run Completion, Commissioning paperwork etc.,)

Onsite:

· Ensuring you wear all PPE and observe site Health & Safety requirements as outlined in the site Risk Assessment and Method Statement

· Offloading flue/equipment onsite in line with Risk Assessment and Method Statement

· Carrying out flue Installation or related Works as agreed

· Liaising with Site Foreman or Designate to confirm the actual flue run has not altered from that agreed

· If alterations have occurred assessing what is needed to commence and complete the job as scheduled, liaising with the Installation Manager.

· Maintaining a safe and clean workspace (tidy as you go) as per site Risk Assessment and Method Statement

· Ensuring tools and equipment are always secured on site to prevent their loss or damage

· Maintaining good customer relations by observing customer site requirements

· Ensuring Flue commissioning and final inspections are carried out as required

· On completion of work, ensuring Flue Completion Sheet or other appropriate documentation is signed off by Site Foreman or Designate

Post Installation

· Returning all paperwork to the office as work is completed to ensure Invoicing is carried out in agreed time frame

· Ensure Time sheets and month end expense paperwork is completed within agreed time frame

· Any duties required by Management

Manufacturing – if working as part of the manufacturing team you will ensure products are produced efficiently and to our high standards of quality. This may involve assembling product and operating machines.

We are looking for people who are:

· Keen to learn and grow into our fast- paced Industrial/Data Centre Installation business

· Flexible and able to adapt to changes which may occur on site, and to site readiness

· Deadline driven to ensure jobs are completed to schedule

· Good communicator as you may have to liaise with other trades on site solving problems and making decisions to ensure work is carried out to schedule

· Mechanically minded

Requirements:

Full clean driving licence

Must be permitted to work in the EU and UK

Working at heights will be required / SafePass / Manual Handling
