We want to hear from Healthcare Assistants who have:

• A reliable, caring nature
• A minimum of 6 months experience in a nursing home or hospital setting
• QQI L5 in Healthcare
• Eligibility to work in Ireland

We are a team of professionals with the necessary skills and experience to deal with temporary staffing challenges and most of our team have been working with us for many years.

The Role of an Agency Healthcare Assistant;

o Assist facility staff with the implementation of individual care plans, undertaking daily tasks and activities as directed in order to facilitate the wellbeing, dignity and treatment of all residents Working efficiently with the multidisciplinary team to approach patient care

o Assist residents/patients with all personal care required, including: Bathing in bed/bathroom/chair to include essential aspects of personal hygiene – i.e. washing body and hair, brushing teeth etc and ensuring that such activities comply with the procedures and relevant healthcare legislation

o Observe and monitor the wellbeing of residents ensuring that any unusual physical, mental or emotional occurrences are promptly reported to senior staff and documented appropriately. Additionally, staff must ensure they are aware of the local child and adult safeguarding policies and procedures furthermore who to contact within the local authority for safeguarding.

o Assist with mobility and transfer using correctly any specialised equipment provided

o Participate in unit/ward meetings & handovers and any report writing required by the HCA

o Answer call bells when they are ringing.

o Adhere to infection control policies and maintain unit/ward cleanliness.

o Maintain and develop good professional relationships with residents, colleagues and visitors
