The Errigal Country House Hotel is a busy four-star hotel and wedding venue in Co. Cavan, known for delivering exceptional food, hospitality, weddings, and guest experiences. Due to continued growth, we are now seeking an experienced and highly competent Chef de Partie to join our kitchen team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate chef who takes pride in high standards, works well under pressure, and has strong experience in a fast-paced professional kitchen environment.

About the Role

As Chef de Partie, you will play a key role within our kitchen team, supporting the Head Chef and Sous Chef in delivering consistently high-quality food across weddings, events, restaurant service, banqueting, and functions.

The ideal candidate must have strong cooking ability, excellent attention to detail, and the confidence to run a section efficiently during busy service periods.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook high-quality dishes to a consistently high standard
  • Run and manage your section efficiently during service
  • Support senior chefs in the day-to-day kitchen operation
  • Ensure all food is prepared and presented according to hotel standards
  • Maintain excellent hygiene, HACCP, and food safety standards
  • Assist with stock control, rotation, and minimising waste
  • Work effectively as part of a busy kitchen team
  • Help train and support junior kitchen staff when required
  • Ensure cleanliness and organisation within your section at all times
  • Maintain consistency and professionalism during busy wedding and event service

Requirements

  • Minimum 3+ years’ experience in a professional kitchen
  • Previous experience as Chef de Partie preferred
  • Strong cooking skills and excellent knowledge of food preparation
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience with banqueting, weddings, or high-volume service is an advantage
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • High standards of cleanliness and attention to detail
  • Reliable, motivated, and passionate about food
