The Opportunity

In 2020, MyLife Insurance was a team of one. Today, we're a team of 14 and one of Ireland's fastest-growing brokerages, with an existing client bank of over 7,000 clients.

We're now looking for an experienced and ambitious Qualified Financial Advisor to join us as we continue to develop our pensions, investment and financial planning offering.

You'll report directly to the Managing Director, advising clients referred by our established Protection Team and developing financial planning opportunities across our existing client bank.

There is no requirement to self-generate leads or cold prospect.

Instead, you'll have the opportunity to focus on providing excellent financial advice, building client relationships and developing business.

For someone with ambition, this is an opportunity to join a growing business at an exciting stage and build a long-term career with MyLife.

About MyLife

MyLife Insurance is an ambitious, fast-growing Irish brokerage based on Charlemont Street, Dublin 2.

We've built the business around a simple philosophy: work hard, act with integrity, provide excellent advice and support each other as a team.

We're particularly proud of the culture we've created. We're a close-knit, ambitious team where people are trusted to take ownership, management is accessible and good ideas are welcomed.

We're also a technology-focused brokerage. We continually invest in modern systems and explore better ways of working to help us remain lean, agile and deliver a better experience for our clients and our team.

We have high standards, but we also enjoy working together – whether that's over lunch, celebrating a success or having a pint after work.

The Role

The position will have a strong focus on pensions and retirement planning, alongside exposure to broader financial planning.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Pension transfers, consolidation and new pension opportunities
  • Executive pension planning
  • Pre- and post-retirement planning
  • Investment advice and consultancy
  • Holistic financial planning, including protection and estate planning
  • Conducting fact-finds and financial reviews and presenting appropriate recommendations
  • Managing warm referrals from our Protection Team
  • Identifying and developing financial planning opportunities within MyLife's existing client bank
  • Building trusted, long-term client relationships

You'll be supported by our paraplanning and administration team, who assist with Letters of Authority, gathering information on existing policies, research and preparation of financial plans.

The aim is simple: to allow you to spend more of your time advising clients and developing relationships, and less time on administration.

Who We're Looking For

Three characteristics are particularly important to us:

Integrity. Experience. Curiosity.

We're looking for someone who is genuinely passionate about financial planning and takes pride in providing excellent advice.

You'll be commercially minded and comfortable working towards targets while always putting the client's interests first. We also want someone who is curious – someone who wants to keep learning, brings ideas to the table and looks for better ways of doing things.

You'll need:

  • QFA qualification – essential
  • At least 2 years' experience providing financial advice, with 3+ years preferred
  • Strong knowledge of pensions and retirement planning
  • Brokerage experience strongly preferred
  • Excellent client-facing and communication skills
  • The ability to identify and develop financial planning opportunities
  • A strong understanding of compliance and suitability requirements

CFP qualifications, or working towards CFP, would be an advantage but are not required. We'll provide financial support for someone who wants to pursue the qualification.

Why MyLife?

An established pipeline of opportunities.
You'll receive warm referrals from our established Protection Team, alongside the opportunity to develop pension, investment and financial planning business across an existing client bank of more than 7,000 clients.

Strong earning potential.
We offer a €50,000–€60,000 base salary, depending on experience, plus an uncapped commission structure designed to reward strong performance.

The opportunity to make an impact.
You'll work closely with the MD at an important stage in the development of our pension, investment and financial planning offering. We're an open business where ideas are welcomed, giving you the opportunity to influence how we develop and improve what we do.

Career progression as we grow.
We don't see this as someone occupying the same seat for the next five years. As MyLife and our financial planning offering grow, there is genuine scope for the right person to take on greater responsibility and progress into senior, leadership or management positions.

Genuine flexibility.
We operate a hybrid model, with three days per week in our Dublin 2 office. We also offer flexibility around how full-time hours are structured, including the option to work those hours across four days, subject to agreement.

Package

  • €50,000–€60,000 base salary, depending on experience
  • Uncapped commission
  • 5% employer pension contribution
  • Income Protection
  • Financial support towards CFP studies
  • Hybrid working – three days per week in our Dublin 2 office
  • Flexibility to structure full-time hours across four days, subject to agreement
  • Dedicated paraplanning and administrative support

If you're an experienced QFA who is passionate about financial planning and wants to join one of Ireland's fastest-growing brokerages – with an established pipeline of opportunities, excellent support and genuine scope to grow your earnings and career – we'd like to hear from you.
