Job Description:

The Merchants Arch Bar and Restaurant, one of Dublin’s finest pubs in the heart of Temple Bar, is seeking a Part Time Bartender to join our Friendly and Energic Team!

If you have a passion for hospitality and thrive in a lively environment, creating great customer experiences and love the fast pace of a busy bar, this could be the perfect role for you!

About the Role

You will play a pivotal role in delivering exceptional service to our valued customers.

We're seeking individuals who embody the spirit of traditional Irish hospitality, engaging with our customers, and ensuring a warm, welcoming atmosphere.​

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparing and Serving Drinks – Mixing and serving a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drink and manage orders efficiently.
  • Customer Service – Engage with customers, fostering a friendly and inviting environment.
  • Cash Handling – Handle cash and card transactions accurately and responsibly.
  • Stock Control – Monitoring stock levels and restocking bar supplies as needed.
  • Maintaining Cleanliness – Keeping the bar area clean, organized, and sanitized throughout the shift.
  • Comply with all Food | Beverage & Health & Safety regulations

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • At least 3 years of bartending experience in a Dublin pub | Restaurant setting.
  • Fluent English with strong communication skills.
  • Knowledge of bar operations.
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends and work up to 30 hours per week.
  • Strong multitasking abilities and excellent customer service skills.
  • Positive attitude and team spirit
  • You must be customer focused, have the right attitude and enjoy working as part of a team.
