Salary: Depending on Experience
Safety Tech Fire Ltd is currently seeking a Fire Alarm Service Engineer or Trainee Fire Alarm Engineer to join our growing service team.
We welcome applications from both experienced Fire Alarm Engineers and candidates who are interested in developing a career within the fire and life safety industry. Full training will be provided.
The Role
This is a full-time position, working Monday to Friday. You will be travelling to customer sites, with the majority of work based in Cork and some travel throughout Munster as required.
Depending on experience, duties will include:
- Servicing, testing and maintaining fire alarm systems
- Fault finding and identifying remedial works required
- Carrying out minor repairs and associated works
- Completing service reports and relevant documentation
- Liaising professionally with customers and site representatives
- Ensuring all works are carried out safely and to the required standards
- Travelling to customer sites throughout Cork and the wider Munster region
- For trainee applicants, learning the servicing, testing and maintenance of fire alarm systems with support and training from our experienced team
What We're Looking For
Experienced applicants:
- Previous experience servicing and maintaining fire alarm systems
- Good fault-finding and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently while on the road
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Full driving licence
Trainee applicants:
- An interest in developing a career in the fire alarm/fire safety industry
- A practical and hands-on approach to work
- Willingness to learn and undertake training
- Reliable, organised and comfortable working in a field-based role
- Good communication skills
- Full driving licence
Previous electrical, technical, maintenance or similar experience would be an advantage for trainee applicants but is not essential.
