G4S Fire & Security Systems is seeking an experienced Fire Systems Service Engineer to join our expanding Dublin-based team. Serving clients across the Leinster area, you will handle the installation, commissioning, servicing, and preventative maintenance of both small and large-scale fire protection systems. To support your success and technical growth, G4S provides comprehensive, manufacturer-led training on all our core life safety systems.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Execution & Maintenance
- System Servicing: Service and maintain fire detection, fire suppression, emergency lighting, and portable fire extinguishers in strict compliance with current Irish Standards.
- Emergency Response: Participate in the out-of-hours rota to handle emergency system activations and urgent service desk escalations.
- Asset Care: Take full accountability for keeping your assigned G4S vehicle, tools, specialist test equipment, and stock in optimum working order.
Commercial & Field Administration
- Digital Workflow: Utilize your PDA effectively to update jobs in real time, enabling immediate client invoicing and swift compliance certification.
- Technical Advisory: Partner with the sales team during site visits, providing expert technical insight to accurately specify client requirements.
- Operational Reporting: Deliver concise field reports to help leadership steer strategic planning and daily team operations.
- Field Leadership: Model operational excellence to support management and ensure seamless continuity of service for our clients.
Client Relations & Continuous Learning
- Customer Experience: Resolve customer issues courteously and promptly while acting as a trusted ambassador for the G4S brand.
- Professional Development: Attend scheduled product courses to maintain a comprehensive knowledge of the G4S product portfolio and evolving fire industry regulations.
About You
- Technical Expertise: Strong engineering background in conventional and addressable fire alarm systems, alongside fire suppression technology.
- Core Engineering Skills: Proven problem-solving ability with sharp planning, time-management, and organizational skills.
- Execution & Adaptability: Ability to deliver high-quality work under tight deadlines, paired with a flexible approach to operational needs.
- Focus: Highly customer-centric and intensely results-driven.
- Licence: Must hold a full, clean driving licence.
- Advantageous: An electrical background is a distinct competitive advantage for this position.
