Full job description

Kelehans Bar & Restaurant is a local Bar & Restaurant on the outskirts of Galway City, known for its warm atmosphere, busy food trade, and welcoming team environment. Located on the route to Connemara with views of Lough Corrib, Kelehans caters to locals, tourists, parties, and events year-round. Key Responsibilities:

  • Front of House and Service
  • Oversee the daily running of front of house in a busy local pub.
  • Maintain consistently high standards of service, presentation, and guest care.
  • Lead the team on the floor during service, leading by example.
  • Handle guest queries and resolve any issues quickly and professionally.
  • Events and Function Planning
  • Liaise with clients by email and in person to make sure every event runs smoothly.
  • Team Leadership and Employee Relations
  • Manage rostering across the front of house team.
  • Train, support, and motivate the team to maintain a positive working environment.
  • Handle day to day employee relations matters with fairness and professionalism.
  • Work closely with the owner & other management on staffing and service decisions.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a similar role is essential
  • A positive attitude with strong communication skills
  • Ability to work well in a busy, team-focused environment
  • Full availability required, including daytime, evenings, and weekends (7-day roster)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: €18.50-€19.50 per hour
