We provide a well-run, ethical homecare service to our Clients and their families and we are an approved HSE Service Provider.

Emerald is seeking compassionate, enthusiastic carers who have a full driving license and access to their own vehicle to work on an hourly basis to service our clients in the South County Dublin areas. Previous experience is ideal but not required, as we provide paid Caregiver Induction training, all you need is the right attitude and a passion for caring for others!

• Location: Ballinteer, Dundrum, Balally, Clonskeagh, Churchtown, Milltown, Blackrock, Dun Laoghaire, Deansgrange and surrounding areas.
• Weekday hours available (morning and evening).
• Weekend hours available.
• A driving license and access to your own vehicle is required for this position.

What is Home Care?

As a Home Carer, you'll support people in their own homes, helping them stay independent and live with dignity in their community. Your workplace will change multiple times a day as you travel from home to home within a set local area.

Your Role Will Include:

Delivering high quality care and assistance to our clients to include:

• Assisting with personal care (washing, dressing, toileting).
• Supporting clients with mobility and transfers by hoisting and utilising Patient Moving & Handling practices.
• Light meal preparation and feeding support.
• Providing companionship and emotional reassurance while encouraging independence, dignity, and wellbeing.
• Light housekeeping (tidying, laundry, etc.)
• Prompting medication where necessary.
• Accurately following and documenting care plans and reporting any changes or concerns in relation to clients directly to the office.

Pay & Benefits:

• 40c per km mileage payment between client visits for fully licensed drivers.
• Starting Hourly rates from €15.00 - €20.00 with premium pay on both Saturday and Sunday.

What You'll Need:

We welcome both new and experienced carers.

• QQI Level 5 Healthcare Support Course or two core modules of Care Skills and Care of the Older Person are desirable but not necessary as we pay for you to complete the core modules.
• Possess a kind, positive, outgoing, friendly personality.
• Willing to travel between clients by car.
• Competency in English - both verbal and written.
• Must live in the greater Dublin area with the right to work in Ireland.
• Valid International Police Clearance and Visa (if applicable).
• Full valid EU driving license and access to your own vehicle.
