Job Description – Dental Receptionist

Dental Care Ireland have an excellent opportunity for a Dental Receptionist to join our Sligo, Pearse Road practice. This is a part-time role, 32 hours per week, Monday to Thursday.

  • 1+ years' Dental/medical Receptionist experience required

Reporting to: Practice Manager

Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Tasks and responsibilities
  • Greeting and registering patients on a day to day basis at the reception desk.
  • Providing information and reassurance to patients about their treatment.
  • Phone and email management throughout the day.
  • Daily cashing up exercise for the practice.
  • Appointment book management to ensure maximisation of working hours.
  • Providing support to clinicians by sending prescriptions, referral letters, x-rays.
  • Payor claim administration for GMS/PRSI/VHI/DeCare.
  • Claims and ensuring accuracy of claim forms.
  • Payment reconciliation.
  • Running daily, weekly and monthly reports from Exact.
  • Completion of various spreadsheets for accounts purposes (i.e. cash sheet, trackers etc).
  • Key holder duties.

Requirements:

  • 1 years' medical/dental experience essential
  • Authorised to work in Ireland.
  • Leaving Certificate or equivalent.
  • Fluent in written and oral English.
  • Must have working knowledge in use of Microsoft Office 2000 or later, particularly Excel and Word, Internet and mail.
