KNOW THE ROLE

The Stockroom Assistant will support the smooth and efficient operation of the store by managing the receipt, organisation, and movement of stock. You will ensure accurate inventory control, operational excellence, and contributes to delivering an exceptional customer experience through teamwork, attention to detail, and commitment to quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receive, check, and process deliveries efficiently, ensuring all stock is accurately logged and discrepancies are reported promptly

  • Maintain an organised, safe, and tidy stockroom to optimise space and ensure easy product access

  • Prepare merchandise for the shop floor with correct ticketing, tagging, and pricing in line with company standards

  • Ensure accurate use of digital tools and stock systems (e.g. HHT guns, LEAN app) to manage transfers, stock counts, and reporting

  • Support stocktaking activities by maintaining data integrity and assisting in count verification

  • Demonstrate Operational Excellence by following all company procedures for deliveries, returns, and special orders

  • Collaborate with colleagues and other departments to ensure stock is replenished in a timely and efficient manner

  • Adhere to Health & Safety and security protocols, ensuring equipment is used correctly and potential risks are reported

  • Deliver exceptional internal customer service, maintaining a professional, approachable, and helpful attitude at all times

  • Assist with administrative tasks, including documentation, filing, and communication with internal teams

  • Support promotional or peak trade activity by prioritising workload effectively and remaining flexible to changing needs

  • Demonstrate resilience and adaptability when managing competing demands or high stock volumes

  • Uphold company values, ensuring professionalism, teamwork, and integrity in all stockroom operations


KNOW WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

  • Previous experience in retail stockroom, warehouse, or logistics operations is desirable

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high operational standards

  • Excellent organisation and time management skills with the ability to prioritise multiple tasks

  • Demonstrates team spirit, collaboration, and a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment

  • Comfortable using digital tools and stock management systems (e.g. handheld scanners, Excel)

  • Strong communication skills, able to liaise confidently with colleagues and management

  • Displays initiative and accountability for completing tasks to the highest standard

  • Physically capable of performing manual handling duties in a safe and efficient manner

  • Demonstrates flexibility and adaptability to changing operational needs

  • Upholds professionalism, punctuality, and integrity in every aspect of the role
