Treatment Plant Technician

Ballybofey, Co. Donegal | Full-Time

People HQ is delighted to be partnering with Mulrines, one of Ireland's leading food and drink manufacturers, to recruit a Treatment Plant Technician for their Ballybofey production facility.

With a heritage dating back to 1919, Mulrines has built a reputation for quality, innovation and sustainability. As a key member of the operations team, you'll play an important role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the site's wastewater treatment facility, helping the business meet the highest environmental and operational standards.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on technical work, fault finding, process monitoring and continuous improvement within a modern manufacturing environment.

The Role

As Treatment Plant Technician, you will:

  • Operate and monitor the wastewater treatment plant to ensure optimum performance.
  • Carry out routine sampling, testing and process monitoring.
  • Respond to plant alarms, identify faults and carry out first-line troubleshooting.
  • Work alongside Engineering and Maintenance to maximise plant reliability.
  • Complete accurate operational and environmental records.
  • Support planned preventative maintenance activities.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental, health & safety and food safety standards.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the facility.

About You

We're keen to hear from candidates who have experience in areas such as:

  • Manufacturing or industrial process operations.
  • Treatment plants, utilities or production environments.
  • Mechanical equipment, pumps, valves or process systems.
  • Fault finding and problem solving.
  • Working safely within regulated environments.
  • Maintaining accurate records and using IT systems.

Experience within wastewater or water treatment would be highly advantageous, but we're equally interested in candidates with transferable process plant or manufacturing experience who are keen to develop their skills.
