What You Need to Know:
Matrix recruitments are currently recruiting for a Private Equity Accountant to join their client, a well-established financial services organisation with a collaborative team environment.

This is a 12-month contract position with some possibility of extension or other opportunities arising.

The role is based in Limerick, and the company offers a hybrid working model.

Your New Job:
You’ll play a central part in the Private Equity Fund Accounting department, assisting with the full administration lifecycle of private equity funds. Expect to be hands-on with fund accounting and financial reporting, working closely with clients, external auditors, and team members to deliver top-quality service. You’ll ensure client deadlines are met, regulatory filings are on point, and communication is always clear.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Deliver a high standard of service for assigned clients
  • Liaise with clients and external auditors, handling audit queries
  • Prepare and submit regulatory and compliance returns
  • Issue NAVs accurately within set timeframes
  • Manage accurate and timely payment of operating expenses
  • Support new client onboarding and fund setup processes
  • Prepare reports for board packs and internal stakeholders
  • Support daily operations as needed within the team

What Are We Looking For?:

  • 2 years' or more in an accountancy practice or fund accounting role
  • Private equity or funds experience advantageous
  • Accountancy qualification desirable
  • Knowledge of Irish/UK GAAP, US GAAP, or IFRS (desirable)
  • Experience in producing management accounts, including debits/credits
  • Understanding of fund accounting and financial reporting standards
  • Excellent PC skills, especially MS Excel and Word
  • Analytical thinker with solid problem-solving ability
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
