Full job description

Transforming the Bank is a key strategic priority for Bank of Ireland. At the heart of this transformation are our technology platforms, data capabilities, and the digital interfaces our customers use to interact with and purchase our products.

As Ireland's largest bank, we're responding to the growing demand for digital-first financial services by expanding and evolving our technological foundation. We're building a world-class, diverse technology team to deliver meaningful improvements in the banking experience for millions of customers - and we're looking for talented individuals to help us drive that momentum.

Programme overview

Our graduate programme offers a rotational experience across different areas of the Bank. Each of the three rotations is built to help you develop the critical skills needed to accelerate your growth and career progression.

Throughout the programme, you'll strengthen your management, interpersonal, and technical capabilities while contributing to business-critical projects in a fast-paced environment. You'll be empowered to explore new experiences, collaborate across teams, and support transformation initiatives aligned with our Group strategy.

The opportunity

  • You'll gain practical experience across key disciplines, including Data Science, Data Visualisation, Data Engineering, Project Management and Business Analysis.
  • Opportunities to work with colleagues across various levels and divisions, helping you build a strong professional network.
  • Access to our Digital Academy and Mentorship Programme, offering guidance and insight into future career paths.
  • Regular engagement with senior leadership, including the CEO and Executive Committee.
  • A potential pathway into Bank of Ireland's talent programmes, developed to fast-track high-potential individuals.

What you'll gain

  • A tailored Graduate Development Programme combining virtual and in-person training, covering topics such as relationship management, business promotion, presentation skills, and financial well-being.
  • A flexible hybrid working model that gives you the best of both worlds, combining home working with access to our network of offices and agile hubs across the country. Most hybrid roles require a minimum of 8 in-office days per month, with specific arrangements confirmed during the recruitment stage.

Who We're Looking For

We welcome applicants from all academic disciplines and backgrounds. What matters most is your curiosity, drive, and potential to grow with us.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Undergraduate or Master's degree (achieved or expected) in any subject area.
