HR Specialist | Agribusiness| Sligo

Our client is a leading Irish organisation with a long-established reputation across the agribusiness, retail, and food sectors. An exciting opportunity has arisen for an HR Specialist to join their HR team. This is a varied, hands-on role offering the opportunity to partner with managers across multiple business units, supporting operational HR activities while contributing to key people initiatives that enhance employee engagement, performance, and organisational growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with managers to provide advice and support across the full employee lifecycle.
  • Manage recruitment and talent acquisition activities to attract and retain high-calibre talent.
  • Support employee relations matters, including disciplinary, grievance, and performance management processes.
  • Ensure HR policies and procedures remain compliant with employment legislation and company best practice.
  • Drive employee engagement, wellbeing initiatives, and internal communications.
  • Coordinate onboarding, induction, and employee development programmes.
  • Support succession planning and talent development initiatives.
  • Assist with HR systems, performance management, and time and attendance processes.
  • Contribute to HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives across the business.

About You

  • Third-level qualification in Human Resources, Business, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in a generalist HR role.
  • Strong knowledge of Irish employment legislation.
  • Excellent communication, organisation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Experience supporting employee relations and performance management.
  • Strong IT skills, with experience using HR systems an advantage.
