In addition to its active construction programme, the organisation is leading the planning and development of several large-scale strategic projects, transforming key sites through master planning and long-term regeneration initiatives. Your new role
The Construction Manager role offers the successful candidate an excellent opportunity to oversee a diverse portfolio of high-profile residential and regeneration projects across Ireland throughout the full development life cycle. Working as part of the wider construction team and reporting directly to the Head of Construction, this position plays a key role in the successful delivery of the organisation's growing project pipeline.

The ideal candidate will possess the technical expertise, commercial awareness, and project delivery experience required to manage complex, large-scale developments. Equally important is the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, demonstrating the drive, professionalism, strong work ethic, and adaptability needed to support the organisation's ambitious objectives and evolving portfolio of projects.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Join a growing team of development professionals, reporting to the Construction Lead, and take ownership of a diverse portfolio of residential and mixed-use development projects.
• Lead projects through the construction phase while supporting Development Managers during planning, design development, and pre-construction stages.
• Manage multidisciplinary design teams, ensuring effective coordination of technical, programme, and budget requirements.
• Plan, organise, and oversee all project activities to ensure successful delivery against agreed objectives.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including local authorities, development partners, utility providers, consultants, and contractors.
• Develop and manage detailed project programmes, ensuring key milestones are achieved and projects are delivered on schedule.
• Take overall responsibility for project delivery, providing leadership, technical expertise, and effective project management throughout the full development life cycle.
• Ensure compliance with contractual obligations across all consultant and contractor appointments.
• Monitor planning conditions and regulatory requirements, ensuring adherence to industry best practices and statutory obligations.
• Manage and coordinate large-scale main contractors, specialist subcontractors, and consultant teams throughout project delivery.
• Demonstrate a strong understanding of planning permissions, Fire Safety Certificate applications, and Disability Access Certificate applications.
• Establish project-specific delivery strategies and programmes, identifying critical milestones and project risks.
• Apply strong commercial awareness to identify value engineering opportunities and drive efficiencies through design, procurement, and construction methodologies.
• Collaborate closely with the wider organisation's teams to ensure the successful delivery of project work streams and overall project objectives.
• Lead and contribute to design development and tender processes for large-scale residential and regeneration projects.
• Assist in the development and implementation of investment cases, development strategies, and delivery plans across a range of project types.
• Manage project budgets, cash flows, programmes, and progress reporting, ensuring transparency and effective governance.
• Liaise with internal departments and stakeholders across the organisation to progress projects efficiently through each stage of development and construction.

What you'll need to succeed

• The successful candidate for the role will have at least 5 years' construction management experience.
• Hold a recognised degree level qualification in the construction/ development sector
• Excellent relationship management skills (both internal and external)
• Strong development management skills, with a proven relevant track record
• Strong knowledge of the Irish planning, development and construction sector
• Knowledge of public procurement is a distinct advantage.
• Knowledge of project viability an advantage.
